Abstract | Neste artigo são descritos os procedimentos desenvolvidos no Projeto Panamazônia II para o mapeamento de corpos hídricos superficiais a partir do Mosaico NASA_GEOCOVER_2000. Foi mapeado o conjunto hídrico sul-americano e o mosaico foi baixado do acervo mantido pelo Centro GODDARD em Greenbelt-MD. O mosaico colorido é composto pelas bandas RGB742 registradas no pixel pancromático de 15 metros do LANDSAT-7. O mosaico utilizado neste trabalho foi reamostrados para 100 metros de resolução otimizando o fracionamento pelo MLME-Modelo Linear de Mistura Espectral. A fração de melhor correlação com água foi segmentada e editada digitalmente por foto-intérpretes. Estes procedimentos foram testados para delimitar alguns corpos hídricos bem diversos como: i) Represa de Balbina; ii) Encontro Amazonas-Uatumã; iii) Lagoa dos Patos; iv) Lago Maracaibo. Com base nestes registros foram mapeados todos os corpos hídricos da América do Sul. Os resultados apontam que território sul-americano é coberto por 569.526 km2 de águas interiores no ano estudado (2000). Estes procedimentos estão recebendo forte impulso pelo advento de instrumentos de grande campo (WFIs) com nível superior de posicionamento (L4) e resolução de 55 metros. Estes instrumentos estão operando a bordo dos satélites CBERS4, 4A e AMAZÔNIA-1. ABSTRACT: This article describes the procedures undertaken by the Panamazonia II Project to map surface water-bodies based on NASA-GEOCOVER-Mosaic of 2000. All-wide South America were mapped. The mosaic was uploaded from the Remote Sensing archives lying within GODDARD Space Flight Center library. The color mosaic is composed by LANDSAT-7 RGB-742 bands registered with the 15 meters pan-band. The composite was resampled from 14.5 to 100 meters resolution in order to optimize fractioning through LMSM-Linear Model of Spectral Mixture. The water correlated fraction was segmented and submitted to digital edition by photo-interpreters. These procedures were applied to register high diversity water bodies such as: i) Balbina Dam; ii) Meeting of Uatumã-Amazon rivers; iii) dos Patos Lagoon; iv) Maracaibo Lake. Following these registers all waterbodies of South America were mapped. Results show that South America is covered by 569,526 km2 of inland waters in the study year (2000). These procedures are being improved thanks to newer wide-field devices (WFIs) with L4 level ground positioning and 55 meters resolution. These instruments are now operating onboard CBERS-4, 4A and AMAZONIA-1 satellites. |
